Caveman2Cosmos is a CivFanatics.com community mod that add new features, gameplay, and content to the Civilization IV experience. It is the most expansive Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword mod to date, started in November 2010. Civilization 4 is also very modable, which means dedicated individuals from around the world are still expaning it by downloadable mods. One of these mods is called: Caveman2Cosmos. Caveman2Cosmos is a (very) expansive Civilization IV mod with a pan-historical (as well as pre-historical and futurist) scope, building on top of the other historically oriented overhaul mods such as Rise of Mankind and Rise of Mankind: A New Dawn. Combining some of the best work across the Civfanatics community it is hosted on, Caveman2Cosmos boasts by far the largest amount of new content.

Here are some other things you can do to become a better Civ4 player:
- Visit the Civ4 Strategy & Tips forum & the Civ4 Strategy Articles forum for more great strategies and discussions. Nearly all the articles in the Academy were posted to the Strategy Articles forums first.
- Participate in the monthly Civ4 Game of the Month competitions. You will have lots of fun playing and learn a lot from fellow participants.
- Check out the games in the Civ4 Hall of Fame and perhaps submit your own (if you are good enough!).
- The Succession Game threads are also a great resource for learning the game. After lurking for a while, you may want to join a SG or start your own.
